According to the Zellner family bible Margaret was born in 1841, not 1840. She first married Silas R. Stevens, then married Benjamin Hasty. She had five children by each husband. Around 1970, granddaughters reset her tombstone after it had been knocked over.

Her husband, Milton Porter STEVENS was the son of Margaret ZELLNER STEVENS HASTY by her first marriage to Silas STEVENS.  Mattie was Milton Porter's first wife.  He later married Lula PICKENS.
